To buy one costs about £500k iirc. Say it was worth £20k per derby, that'd be 25 years for it to pay its way. To hire one once a year, with transport and set up costs, I guess (and it is just a guess), you'll be looking at more than £20k.
It was a good idea for 2007, but now the club has a licence they have to be thinking more long-term, IMO.

By the way, I know the planned £6m North stand development may take even longer to work as a business investment (though I think there is a difference, in that will attract more fans for all games, not just the derby), but that adds value to the club and for the community in ways that another temporary stand would not.

Does the proposed new north stand include a function facility and an indoor sports pitch?
