I agree, he isn't a "sparkling stand off" at the moment (and I'm talking from a perspective of absolutely no inside knowledge) but the lad hasn't had a decent crack.
We're too quick to write players off in Britain. I' Anson is what, 20, 21? He's improved over the last 2 seasons without a consistent run in the side.
Yes, we might let him go at the end of his contract, personally I think this is far too early to judge a lad on his talent.
Isn't this why we have franchises?
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

100% correct. I get the impression Morgan wants I'anson to be the man. Just hope he is given the chance without pressure from others.

I'm going to slightly degenerate my original point here (but if you've read any of my other missive's you'll be used to this) but in professional sport I think you need pressure, what I' Anson needs to know is that he's seen off the previous incumbent of the number six shirt and he now has a free run at it.
Go do your stuff Chas, but it's up to you, the balls in your court. However, we're a club on the up and you stand or fall on your own performances.
We're coming from the same direction I think.

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

you were still under the cap and are still been bank rolled so you could sign a player not needed/wanted by his club.
Ratchford is under contract and if Salford don't want him to leave he won't.
