If the south stand is empty the stewards often leave the walkthrough open so fans can access the west side carpark. I've often walked over with 5 mins to go and stood in the south stand and i can watch the game with no problems and I'm somebody who could really do with going to the opticians.
Can't agree with you there. Having stood there for one game, I wouldn't do so again under any circumstances. It was almost impossible to read the game, judge distances etc The terrace is very low in relation to the distance it is away from the pitch, meaning that the view is unfortunately very poor.

However, it was hull's choice for the first derby to opt for the larger capacity of the south stand over half the golf stand, so not all blame lies with Rovers.
There's no way a club would take a smaller allocation in a expected sell out. I have no problem with hkr looking after their own fans and they are perfectly intightled to charge what they want.
But they can't complain when it doesn't sell out.

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

The stand is appalling the worst in SL, if not professional RL.
When I went last time I didnt have a clue what was going on at the at the far end, and couldnt see try line near us as the advertsing hoarding where in the way, I was one step away from the top aswell.
I think it may well sell out and that is obviously to do with Hull doign better, however if you have a decent stand (nothing special another Golf stand would do) I have no doubt that we would sell our tickets within the first couple of days.
If you want to watch a game of rugby, I woudlnt go in the South stand if it was free, would watch it on Sky or go into one of the other stands.

A honest Rovers fan, I go in that end every year and its impossible to have a good view, give Hull the golf stand and see how many Rovers fans will go in that end.
Always the Optimist never the Pessimist. Glass Half full not half empty man me.
Unless hull unexpectedly lose against Salford i reckon the derby will be a sell out because their fans will see them having a realistic chance of a win.
Which blows out last years theory that only 600 fans came because of the view from the South stand.
Standing up to the forum bully.
It must be working, he doesn't like me...i'm devastated
I agree it is awful and should be charged at the lower price, i think it does make the club look like their point scoring. Having said that I stood getting soaked at Leeds, crumbling stand, one toilet for the whole of 2 stands and had no idea where the players were in relation to the pitch markings unless near the 20 yard line nearest. That cost me £20 and it got Leeds an A-Grade license. Still £20 well worth spending.

Cheers for that. easty's opinion is irrelevant as he's only trying to prove a point that doesn't exist. I don't mind standing there for one game a season if there's acknowledgement of the restricted view in the ticket pricing. As it is I'll not bother this year again

That is still a major reason as said above, a good stand and Hull would have sold out of the 1200 tickets within a day or two.
If you think that the view from the that stand hasnt nothing to do with some fans not going that you are more stupid than I thought you where.

Rovers should have done the decent thing here and give Hull the same North Stand allocation as other visiting teams, i.e. 700 tickets. If & when they go, then offer the South at a tenner each, no more.

Rovers have got this one wrong I'm afraid.
Perhaps Hudgell read all the whiners comments on here and decide the risk of having too many returns was not worth it. A lot commented on that they would not come because of reasons OTHER than the stand, namely 'we are crap and willl get hammered' and 'I don't want to give Rovers money'
In any kind of weather, eh
