Hi guys. Turns out I will probably be in York this saturday night but I really don't want to miss seeing Hull FC on TV. Are there any pubs in York that are guaranteed to be showing the rugby over any fairy ball that might happen to be on?

The Terrace on Stonebow, The Bootham Tavern on Bootham, O'neils on Ouse Bridge ( Premireship football does have first call here though) The Railway Institute between York Station and the top of Micklegate/Blossom Street. I'll ask about!

Thanks for that. I just want to point out what Bootham Tavern did to me though. I called them and very specifically asked if they showed rugby league and if they would be showing the Salford-Hull game. I was given a catagorical yes. When I turned up and asked for it to be put on, teh barmaid informed me that she had been told to put the wendyball on. Draw your own conclusions to how big a set of tossers run this pub.
