Is also another £5 when times are hard, the amount of help the RSG and that have help the club out in the past (people like adge) deserve abit of recognistion, if the club did something to promote the RSG then that would improve member numbers and would make everyone happy, surely?

Exactly. Times change, no other pro sports club would give an unconditional 10% off merchandise and a further fiver off a season pass for as little as £10. It was great whilst it lasted, but as FET says, for a fiver, it's a great cause with some good member draws. If people don't like it, no one is forced to sign up.

Could the work that people like Adge have put in previously in helping keep the club alive be recognized appropriately by you paying a fiver to help continue that great work ?

No because i dont get discount, i get these magical points remember - which have the stores mentioned say "we dont accept these anymore"... Great
