Not done that well so far but im fairly confident thursday is my day during the week
I've got 3 fairly confident selections for tomorrow
Including
Hey Big Spender in the first, the jewson; the Colin Tizzard trained 7yr old has contested two novice chases at cheltenham over the past few months jumping perfectly in each coming 2nd to the more than able Inchidaly Rock, then went onto win the win next time out over C/D staying on strongly up the hill winning by 10lengths, there's further improvement to come and imo can handle the rise in weights and the 10/1 on offer in a few places HAS to be snapped up imo.
A lesser confident selection runs in the pertempts final handicap hurdle over 3miles. On first glance the horse
Frebo has no chance with Alfie Sherrin based on there run against each other in a handicap hurdle at newbury in February where the selection received 11lbs for a 11l defeat, they re-oppose on similar terms here though on that day Frebo was well at the back where there was no pace throughout the race and as the trainer Ian Williams has said he stays all day, so with a strong gallop likely i think this race will suit him, since the newbury run he improved a lot when winning a qualifier for this race by 9l, at 16/1 id rather take a chance on this horse placing than simply having a win bet on the worthy Nicholls favorite due to whats happened this week.
Last and not least in the last,
Gallant Nuit, I take note of a fair few people on here selecting him and its fairly obvious why, in a amateurs race a good and experienced jockey is almost as important as the horse and with nina carberry riding for Ferdy Murphy in this type of race is a match made in heaven (note katie walsh's victory with Poker De Sivola for Ferdy today). The horse in the past has come back well from a break, last time out he got the better off Don't Push it over a distance of 3m3 so he'll obviously stay the trip under a strong gallop or not, the only slight concern is the ground although today we'll be racing on the new course which has been watered and will be easier ground. The 9/1 on offer with a handy handicap mark whilst plotted for the race with the booking of nina makes alot of appeal.
Have gone e/w singles on the three as well as doubles and treble's.
My other selections FWIW
- Tranquil Sea
- Big Bucks / Katchit e/w
- SunnyHillBoy / Mister McGoldrick e/w
Good luck.
