wakefield is a quality away trip, in many ways a hidden gem compaired to the bright lights of huddesfield.
As for being a "friendly" place i was in montys that day and it was like being in a deleated scene from the football factory, i dont think they were rugby fans tho.
I also had my parm tree punctured once in the con club next door to the ground by a very angry and hard looking man after we won?? Probably why its members only now...... And again i dont think he was a fan
The further from the ground the more friendly they are, the snooty fox pub is the roughest pub ive ever been to following salford but the landlord let me behind the bar to use a mirror because the one in the toilets was smashed, customer service at its very best

MOM: Sammy Obst (Brough to play- deal cant be arranged, Cooke deal still on going between Cooke and HKR)- Just my prediction.
Thanks for the comments Reds fans!
RE: Snooty Fox; Thats a bit of a heavy metal bar, very rough but very friendly. TBH I think your best bet is to get in early (and stay late) at "The Cats bar" inside the ground. Not sure if there will be a youth game on before, but theres always friendly fans about. And players and coaching staff around after.

I love this city, this is my town. We get a week out, without a doubt, gunna sing it out loud. i love my city this is my town, we get a week out, without a doubt, gunna sing it out loud

Yah the Snooty Fox is fine, they also do pickled eggs which is a rare find these days, but nothing in the way of decent ale AFAIK. Fernandes across the road always sounds interesting but I'm never sure if it'd be open or not due to a couple of reports on the Beer in the Evening site of people turning up in the afternoon to find it closed. I think the incident bobby is referring to was three years ago, I remember getting texts off him and Yorky Red when it was going off, I'd gone for a Chinese down the road, thought it was a bit strange as things had been friendly inside the ground (as usual).

PS I've been suggested the Con Club by a Wakey fan at work, it has a big screen I've been told and handy with the footy finishing 3:20pm ish, though if it is still Members Only that's a shame and shooting themselves in the foot on match day.

yeah i witnessed that aswel unfortunately the clue of a lot being in chav gear and LUFC tops suggests that maybe their intentions were not very pro wildcat.
every club as its numpties and outside the ground incidents happen with idiots who haven't even been to the match , the only place my car has ever suffered damage was salford but it happened more than likely whilst we were all in the ground therefore rules out salford fans

If you're wanting to watch the Football guys then i'd suggest one from either Westgates, Barristers, Graziers, Pravda or Shooters. These are the pubs that i'm sure will be showing it. All are in the town centre though so probably won't be able to watch it all but Taxi's are only about 3.50 to Belle Vue so it's an idea?
Boons which is near to Westgate train station i believe also shows live footie so that'd be a good shout.
