Yeah, all kicked off in montys a couple of years ago. Seem to ignite out of nothing, a man who was stood at the bar ran over cracked a bloke in a Salford shirt he was out for the count then that was it all hell broke lose. I was locked inside the pub with a chant of Yorkshire, Yorkshire blaring out around me. Saying that though never had any trouble before maybe it was just a one off?

Salford RLFC
Folly ARLFC

Good john wilky last looked out
on the pitch at salford.
when the snow lay round about
deep and crisp and even
brightly played the lads that night
though the frost was cruelllll
when poor swinton scored a try
we had 94urrrrrrrrrr

Yeah, was just going to add that myself. They were just troublemakers and had definitely not been to the game. I do think that a member of staff in Monty's tipped them off to come down though.

TWO-MATCH BAN FOR SMITH

Salford hooker Jeremy Smith will miss his side's next two Engage Super League matches after punished for foul play.

The former New Zealand international was given a two-match ban by the Rugby Football League's disciplinary panel after they found him guilty of striking Danny Orr with his forearm during the Reds' 26-22 win over Harlequins.

Smith, who will sit out Salford's trip to Wakefield on Sunday and the following match against Hull FC, was also fined £300.

So I hear. First I've heard of this place to be honest.

Was also a damn awful pub as well. Remember one visit when they didn't have lager or guinness on and the day it went off in there they were only serving people who were paying with a fiver or less for a while as they didn't have any change. :)

Makes our season ticket prices seem very reasonable, even with the membership fee?!

Agree that the Wakey fans on here (and on their own board) are an unusually reasonable, friendly bunch.

Not too convinced that all fans in their ground reflect this though - had some unpleasant experiences at their place with some thoroughly obnoxious Wakey fans, and a group of their fans gave my younger brother a bit of a kicking outside the Willows a couple of years back, simply because he had a Salford shirt on.

Not one for tarring with wide brushes though and will continue to enjoy the current pleasantries on here in the run-up to our game at the weekend.

 Love him or hate him, 163 consecutive appearances should make Stuart Littler a Salford legend in anyone's book
