A more accurate comparison would be with Adebayor's recent red card against Stoke. Although it appeared that Gerrard's actions were more deliberate than Adebayor's.

perhaps rafa now knows what the fans have known for some time, lucas is shi'te and aqua should start every game with masch, also babel and torres look a very good partnership up front. but when sunday comes it'll be bak to the tried and tested flops rafa has shown faith in this season.

Lucas isn't as bad as people make out. He was originally a Stevie G type of player but he has had to resort to a more defensive approach. He is good when our game plan is to shut down the opposition early.

Babel :FRUSRATED: :FRUSRATED: :FRUSRATED: :FRUSRATED: :FRUSRATED: :FRUSRATED: :FRUSRATED: Bags of potential, but 9 times out of 10 comes away with nothing. Head is constantly down, not looking for a pass but just to run at defenders!

babel was outstanding last night, his movement was superb and he was the perfect foil for el ninho, but the entral midfield was the outstanding area, aquilani was at times sublime and his partnership with masch was certainly a throw back to last season when xabi controlled the game. another massive plus from last night was maxi, he was brilliant and is just what we have been wanting for a long time, a skillful wide player who will take on the oppsition full back.

Babel frustrates me when he has his head down, he needs to be looking up aswell as skinning defenders. Look how often Torres has his head down when making a break. Very rarely.

Aquilani was superb, controlled the game, picked out some neat passes and looked almost worth 3/4s of what we paid for him.

Problem area for us: We need a corner taker. 99% of Stevie's crosses didn't beat the front post!

Seriously? What's happened to his pin point crosses?
