He has accomplished a lot as a coach over here in England. And realistically who is there to replace him? Kevin Walters? Brian McDermott?

Shaun McRae is the best man for the job as coach of Salford. No offence but Salford will never become a big name club like Wigan or Leeds. It wouldnt matter if you had Wayne Bennett at the helm.

I think you will win this afternoon though in London. 8 -16 is Barry McKenzies prediction.

I would come and watch but I'm off to the Walkabout.

Best of luck to you though

The reason why he as done well over here he as inherited to good teams at both st helens and hull if he was that good of a coach he would be able to change a poor team into an half decent team and that as not happened i would like to no what are win persentage was when karl harrison was here and what mcraes win percentage is. because i cant see ho mcrae as made us better i would say we have got worse. the club made a mistake getting rid of harrison

Again, no offence.... but look what he's got to work with.

I must confess I'm not up to speed with who is playing for your club these days, but a cursory glance at your 2010 squad reveals only 4 or 5 players I've ever heard of.

Good to see Phillip Leuluai is still alive though. I thought he had gone back to Samoa

You've already identified Leuluai as someone you've heard of so that means, from a squad that includes Mal Alker, Stuart Littler, Willie Talau, Rob Parker and Ian Sibbit (all of whom are very experienced SL players) you've only heard of 3 or 4 of our players?

Kinds illustrates why your opinions of McRae should be ignored.

 Love him or hate him, 163 consecutive appearances should make Stuart Littler a Salford legend in anyone's book

Sorry mate.

I'm not a big SL fan.

Willie Talau is the only player I've ever heard of on that list you just mentioned.

Rob Parker?

Isn't that Spiderman?

Apologies for interjecting like Treguard from Knightmare, but I'd advise caution in replying to this infamous troll.

The thing thats always amused me about these boards is that as soon as I dare to suggest that Superleague isn't really as 'super' as people make out or I say I have never heard of a certain player I am cast as a 'troll'

I'm sure if I named some of our Toyota cup players from back home you wouldn't have heard of them either.

Sorry about the Rob Parker being spiderman comment if thats whats got up your goat.

Good luck for this arvo anyway.

Hahaha this Barry guy amuses me. Spiderman Hahahaha! Best was when he was winding the Whinos up after they lost to Melbourne, they snapped the bait up.

"I'm sorry, but I would hope that we would beat Cas with a 1 day turnaround."

An arrogant Wigan fan a few days before we stuffed them 18-4 at the JJB.

Theres no one on here who will describe our matches as 'super.' McRae's tactics lead to dull, uninspiring, predictable rugby league. We dont expect to win super league, in fact we may avoid the wooden spoon by default on the back of London Harlequins Broncos being worse than us. What we would like is some entertaining enterprising rugby and a coach who encourages attacking rugby.

I will send you a a couple of Salford dvd's Barry. You will launch them onto your barbie within 5 mins of viewing them :thumb:
