The 'false promises' indicate the obstacles the club has had to overcome and no doubt there will be more hurdles if we are to achieve our aim. Lesser men than Mr Wilkinson would have thrown in the white towel before now and I cannot imagine a queue of candidates complete with open cheque books willing to take over.

Build it and they will come, and so they will, the new stadium is a new beginning, but some people like to moan, me sometimes, but in the end like John, Howard and Ian we all have the best interests of the Salford City Reds in our heart. It does take time to build things in Salford, its called democracy and consultation, from my own experience working in Langworthy, the original plans have changed many times over the years due to people power, despite what a certain large Lib Dem might tell people, and so it goes with the ground. When we first set out on this journey 12 years ago I thought that the Site at West One was best i still do because of all the transport links and pubs which bring people in, but Salford council had other plans which have failed for that site, perhaps the stadium might have been a success there we will never know. But (I know starting a sentence with a connecting word) we must now grab the bull by the horns and go from strength to strength and support what the board are trying to do and keep Super League rugby in Salford and the Manchester city catchment area, plus being off the M60 opens up access to south Manchester.

The Directors of this club must despair at the criticism which is being handed out by some supporters. They put money into the club to keep it afloat and rather than receive support for their efforts they seem to attract constant flack. I sometimes wonder if the people who constantly come on to this site to moan realise that without this financial support the club would have folded.

My favourite bit is when these morons roll out 'the club's fans deserve...' I had worried that leaving The Willows could have a detrimental affect on the quality of our supporters (a la Warrington). More recently, I think a fresh new start is the only hope of reducing the bellend ratio.
