Fans through the gate, Getting local kids into the willows, getting interested in rugby league, 6000 against Swinton, gave us a good average attendace at the end of the season. So i don't really see it as a "big flop". And as I've already pointed out once people are in the ground they're going to spend money arn't they? So the club couldn't really lose IMO.

Good john wilky last looked out
on the pitch at salford.
when the snow lay round about
deep and crisp and even
brightly played the lads that night
though the frost was cruelllll
when poor swinton scored a try
we had 94urrrrrrrrrr

They club needs better advertising! posters, flyers, radio campaigns etc. On match days there isn't a single poster telling passers by that there is a match on.

But we've had posters in the past and, by your reckoning, if they'd worked we would've had bigger crowds.

Therefore, by your reckoning again, they didn't work either ... and yet you want us to waste money on them???
(even though Golden Angel was at virtually no cost to the club?!?)

 Love him or hate him, 163 consecutive appearances should make Stuart Littler a Salford legend in anyone's book

you are right, they didnt work, you need more that one thing at a time, and you need to run campaigns for a long time or they have little effect.

Christ this board is negative :SHOOT:

Can't you be grateful the stadium is off and running? That's obviously where the clubs attention is at the moment.

Well it's certainly not anything else, is it? We're all grateful the stadium is off and running, but that doesn't excuse other areas being run shoddily.

Nothing to do, as pointed out, with Trish leaving and the marketing department suddenly vanishing into thin air?

Even when this was done it did not boost crowds by that much its not a bad idea but you still need to sell the product on the pitch and at the moment the team are not selling them selfs. we are to light weight and cant see giving free tickets is going to benifit the club financially right now. its a thought for the future when we get a backer with money which is at the moment no where to be seen. I just wish peel holdings would concider buying the club as they seem to manage things well and would run the club with money to support us but cant see that happening as we never seem to get away from being at the bottom of the league.
