Depends how far advanced negotiations are. Look, it took Clinton 12 weeks to get here, and Orford 5, amid speculation that Rovers needed to offload a player to accomodate Clinton. Clinton arrives in the country, Cooke's dropped immediately and 11 days after Clinton's debut is shipped out to West Yorkshire. All entirely coincidental, I'm sure.

If Paul Cooke was playing superbly well and we were winning games you may have a point, however he wasn't and we weren't.
He's removed and we turn our form around. It's been well known Justin has wanted rid for a very long time, possibly as long as when he was dropped for the derby for been "Unfit for selection"
Wakefield have space after the Terry Newton fiasco and obviously have contacted Rovers about a player John Kear is a known admirer of and doesn't look like he is in the first team picture at his current club

Thread cleaned up. While weird scatological revenge fantasies are not explicitally forbade by the AUP, we can certainly do without them.

No kidding. Yet the usual suspects on here have continually denied any issues and when I posted what you've done have demanded "links" to printed evidence.
I agree that it's a good move for Rovers. If the rumours are true, though, it's questionable. You go from Cooke to Brough - the next step on that particular continuum is surely Frank Gallagher from Shameless.

That, to me, looks like another association fallacy to go alongside 'you are paying a fortune to Cooke, that is why you are losing £400k pa.'

It's speculation. You know, like people speculating that Morgan didn't get on with Cooke, much derided though that particular "fallacy" was.
