And If Sammy Lloyd could kick goals you'd have won at wembley, sometimes it's just tough

I disagree, except that Cas were pretty poor in certain aspects. But the argument that Rovers only ever win or are capable of doing well in the League because other teams underperform or are understrength, is getting tiresome.
I've admitted Hull's travails over the last couple of years were due to a significant extent to bad luck with injuries. I think their good start to this season is well-merited. But then it doesn't especially stick in my craw when Hull win - excepting derbies.

I have never stuck my craw in, I am giving an honest assessment of the Cas game who imo were poor by their standards THIS SEASON..I have never come on here and discussed in depths your games against Hudds, Wigan or Saints on. For the record from what I have seen upto now I think you are a bit light up front and your results would indicate that you are not performing as you did last season upto this point.

We won 3 and drew 1 of our first 6 matches last season so if we win on friday we are actually up on last years performance.

I remember watching one of your earlier games last season and imo you looked stronger up front and more threatening than what I have seen so far, however I agree it is early days yet.

Honest and accurate are different though - and that applies to me as much as anybody. People see different things in a game and we all have our predujices.
We think we now look strongish up front, you think we look light - everybodies happy.

I'd sort your craw's from your oars if I were you, could be painful.
I agree, we're not performing as well as we did last season, although yesterday there were more positives to take than all the previous games for all number of reasons, and I've had said that even if we'd lost.
Our first three seasons in Super League we seemed to go for a fast start to get points on the board, we then had major mid season and end of season slumps. I'm hoping we're more geared up to being a lot more consistent right the way through. The season doesn't really settle down until after Easter, that's the time to begin to assess in an accurate way.
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

I agree the game will change again when the pitches firm up, I also agree about consistency being the key to a successful season, in fact I am well versed in this being an fc fan
