I would almost certainly say that motionless forwards and slow dummy-half play isnt something that is coached into them. The questions need to be asked of the players, who should know what is required of a go-forward team. I would suggest that fitness is an issue here. If the forwards are knackered they wont hit the advantage line, if the forwards are not doing that then the dummy-half play will be laboured.

Attacking play can be worked for hours on the training ground, but it requires players to utilize it correctly and the halves/hooker to call it and work a set of six. If nobody is doing this/players are knackered/not interested then the play will lower itself to the most common denominator, five drives and a kick. My guess is that they are lacking direction on-field. Someone to follow the coaching plan and/or deviate from it when needed.

As for entertainment, well, when we have played great attractive RL over the years it still never brought any extra fans in any number, and the only people left atm are the die-hards anyway. Once we shift venues it will allow the Club to start afresh on this score, and the hard work of keeping them then begins...

Quite right BR i myself would fall into your second sentence, infact the S' and myself are quite similar, we both about 50, both have Degrees in Physical Education, he has hair I don't, but that's a bust street for you. Also I teach maths and unlike the S' if a strategy is not working in class and the students are not understanding the context I change it, that more than likely gets the right result.

How long has SM left on his contract?
Things look awful from this outsiders view so if he went who would be your choice to replace him who would improve the team and its results?
