The point about fit fans is that nothing is banned. You just have to be sensible, if you're drinking two or three pints a day you're peeing into the wind, but I lost 20 pounds and still had a good sesh about once a week.
The problem with regular intake of alcohol is that it negates the beneficial effects of physical excercise. So whereas without alocohol your body still burns extra calories for maybe 24hours after excercise as soon as you have a pint or two (or shot) that stops and your metabolism slows.
Through the fitfans course you learn what are better choices to make so that with relatively small changes to your diet coupled with sensible excercise regularly (10 or 15 minutes brisk walk a day) you will achieve small but sustained and regular weight loss.
