Just read that Quins have released Matt James from his contract to return home up North. Is he worth a punt?

Also, Wigan are expecting to have Cameron Phelps back this weekend from injury which would mean Goulding getting dropped back to the reserves as he would be surplus to requirements. Heard a rumour that when this happened he would consider a loan return back at the Willows.

We should sign Phelps instead better player anyone else think?

Because our club has bags of cash to pay his wages.

I would have both of them.
We need a recognised prop so Parker can go into second row, we also need a quality centre as we all know that Talau and Henry are bound to get injured and we are sadly lacking in that area.
Problem is would either want to come to Salford ?

i'm sure goulding would if he could come on loan again, i think both us and him will benefit from it as like last season.

I somehow doubt Wigan would let their starting full back leave and also whether we would have the pulling power to entice a player who is rated highly away from them either.

As far as Matt James goes, I've read a few comments on the Quins board saying he's lightweight but I still don't see Rob Parker as a prop so we would definitely benefit from having another player with prop as their preferred position.

How about Jordan James? Hes just gone on loan to Scorpions so obviously surplus.
