The awful pitch at Cas had a bearing on what type of game it was IMO.

im not disagreeing with you, what i was saying was that after a 30 nil drubbing, plenty of positives came from that performance,

Fair enough.

For me other than the form of Liam Watts, the only difference between this performance and the one against the Giants was that they won and had Ganson as video ref.

Other than that they were pretty much second best on the night.

IF cas had taken there chances (any other side would have) you would have been 30-nil down in the first 20 minutes. I realise this didn't happen and once you were let back into the game you rallied well and started to play better but this had more to do with Castleford falling to pieces than Rovers pulling out all the stops.

The bottom line is that cas should have hammered you easily given the chances your team afforded them. I personally don't think that that is positive

And if we had taken our chances against Huddersfield we wouldn't have been nilled, whats your point?

even if we had of lost, (and yes we should have) at least we competed this week, which is something we didnt do against Huddersfield.
As for Cas falling apart, well thats not Rovers fault, you can only play whats in front of you, and Rovers capitalised on Cas failings which is a good thing IMO

RL is all about taking your chances and capatilising on others errors. Most tries come on the back of penalties or dropped ball. The vast majority of what you say comes from behind extremely tinted B&W Glasses.

From behind R&W ones, FC have beaten an off colour understrength saints team that lost 3 interchanges quite early in the game and we all know saints are there for the taking in week 1 or 2.
A vastly understrength hudds (No Hodgeson and Lunt out very early) were robbed when they had a good try dissallowed to beat you.
Beaten by the bargain basement team
Easy win against the poorest looking team in the league.
So FC playing there best rugby for years are still only one win above an incredibly poor KR side.
(by the way I'm not stating I think any of that itsjust another perspective.)

The biggest positive i can take from the season so far is that even after playing reasonably pooly we are still 2 wins from 4 games and have played possibly 2 of the top teams in the comp. We will improve ad if we can get to the end of April still at 50%+ win rate I'll be happy that we'll kick on.

So it's not about trying to compete consistantly for 80 mins?

ok... if you say so

I see you're not mentioning your only wins are against possibly the worst two, I can't see them letting you play salford every month so keep your fingers crossed that teams play like Castleford did when they play you
