With the limited "facts" you post on Rovers .....surely not hard to remember. ?
I was wrong. Like you were with your boasts of NIL problems with the turnstiles, only I'm big enough to admit it.
TBF I thought after Fisher was dumped in the most important game of last season, and all the big talk of Hodgson and first team rugby, and Murrell getting the #9 jersey, it wasn't an unreasonable prediction.
raynor the crab wrote:All this talk of I'Anson being one of the best players for Rovers I don't agree with. He did a couple of good things like the kick for Dobson's try which was a very lucky bounce. I don't think Rovers played that well at all and were not deserving of the victory. I thought Rovers really missed Cooke's creativity and that the attack was not great at all. However Cas looked really dangerous in attack with Chase and Sherwin causing loads of problems.
What creativity would that be? I haven't seen any creativity from Cooke, I know everyone sees things differently, but for me it hasn't happened.

Doubt it bud, even fans of Leeds and Saints expect them to lose occasionaly. As for one man team................

Cookes had a raw deal at the start of this year. He's been playing loose man, not stand off where he should be playing. If he had been playing there last night instead of I'Anson then we would have done no worse and probably better.
I have nothing against I'Anson but I don't think he did anything amazing, and Rovers for some reason dont use their stand off as much as they use their scrum half, in a playmaking sense. Everything revolves around Dobson in attack, Paul Cooke should be allowed to get more involved but seems to have been marginalised.
I think he's done well for us but he clearly isn't wanted in the team by Morgan, for whatever reason. So I'd have nothing against him leaving to better his career and take him off our salary cap. Same with Mills, he isn't gonna get in the side so loan him out/release him.
Although I am pleased with the victory, that's all I am happy with at the moment. I thought Rovers were pretty average last night at best. I tried making a point earlier about the Cas attack earlier being far superior but most people people are being defensive of people like I'Anson which I understand but he didn't play as well as some are making out. I am not trying to be too negative but some need to realise that Rovers are really struggling for any attacking fluency at the moment. Cas were very efficient at getting the ball out wide to the wings quickly and Rovers struggled to string passes together. I said earlier that Rovers missed the creativity of Cooke and I feel he would have made a difference and tried to make things happen. As it stands I can't see a victory against Saints next week unless either Cooke or Galea returns to give something extra in attack.

Totally agree, we got out of jail last night. We are not looking very creative but very predictable and our defence wide out was frighteningly poor at times, their first two tries were embarrassing! Luck played a lot in 3 of our tries IMO. Still confident we will improve when the grounds get harder though. Trust in Justin!
