David Tangata-Toa was pretty average when he first came over here yet turned out to be one of our better players in our promotion season. Clintons only spent a week training with the team, not had the months of pre season, so cannot be judged on his first game, on a wet and muddy saturday night in Castleford.
He clearly is lacking some match fitness but, when he was on the pitch he was okay. He'll do fine for us when his fitness comes back.

To be fair, any Aussi coming over is going to feel jet lagged for a while,the old body clock out of sinc.Plus facing the great British winter for maybe the first time.Think he may be a good aquisition for you.

all i questioned was his debut perfomance but alot of nukkle heads in hear take offense when ther player is judged, all i said was for his calibre it was an average performance would of liked to see more from him

What were you honestly expecting of him? To play 60 minutes +, score a hat trick? make a dozen try saving tackles?
He did alright, it was his first game and I've seen far worse debuts. You have to give him time to acclimatise to England, the weather, the style rovers play.
Mikali Aizue didn't play in the Hull KR first team for months when he came over, and he turned out okay!

totally agree that was what iv been trying to put across but some ppl take it to far, i think he will be a good player just dont think he will smash people off the park

i was making the point that alot of rovers fans think he is going to be this big busting machine, and what i saw from the half hour he played hes far from that, yes he did OK like i said for his calibre expexted a bit more

And I'll repeat, what exactly where you expecting of him? He didn't let anyone down and played his part in a team which came from 10pts down twice to win a match away. I think most fans will have been happy with this and I don't think the opinions of a few Hull FC fans are going to change that
