At the time, when I was at my angriest, I thought he wouldn't book Kalou because if he did, the game would have to be stopped and he'd have been getting it in the ear from 5 Chelsea players about how he was not giving us a blatant pen. Far easier for him to let play on where the CFC players would have to carry on with the short time remaining.
It would've been no pen, no booking if the ref felt the Inter defender had won a fair challenge and during that fair challenge taken Kalou down. That'll be his reasoning IMO, but where he gets the fair challenge from I don't know.

On the whole I thought it was a pretty good performance from us. Poor result, and poor defending at times cost us very dear, but all the luck was with Inter. Their second goal was particularly galling. We'd had half a dozen similar chances like that and the bounce of the ball went wrong for us. Their first attack after our goal and the ball sits up perfectly for them to score.
