Seems odd that he feels the need to prove to us how good he is when we are seemingly a bunch of know nothing amateurs

The Joker® wrote:As for that bet if it's an Accumulator then IMO it's a MUG Accumulator, Can i ask the reasons why you bet?, Is it to try and net a quick buck using small stakes, Something you dedicate yourself to or do you just like a casual flutter?.
I do enjoy the horse racing/saturday afternoon footy/rugby handicaps etc, and it certainly is not for a quick buck.

I firmly believe that if you can't afford to lose, then do not bet.

I have a couple of quid here and there for abit of fun more than anything. Can't say it hurts me much if I lose. Although as documented in the past I have had one or two problems been able to limit my stakes. My stakes however have never gone anywhere near into getting my bank balance into the Red.

The machines however for me are not enjoyable, and I do make a couple of quid here and there for my train home/food etc etc, but it's very "business like"

I do however sometimes have bets that are alittle more than a couple of quid, i.e My ante post Cheltenham bets, and the accy above, and obviously I would prefer to win these bets.

As for you sharing your betting experiences with us. The problem is, you don't do you? You no doubt show us half (or maybe less), as you don't display anything if you lose.
What's the point?
If you win major money fair enough or an 100/1 horse, but as an example, a 10/1 accy from a tenner, no one really cares I'd have a guess you have a bet most days, and therefore make a loss.

I await your reply...........

Can anyone recommend a good poker site? Feeling the urge to play again but don't really want to head back to Pokerstars. Anybody who has played the site before will understand my reasons. Having a nibble on Salford +22 and Cas +4 tonight in the rugby.

Pokerstars.

Oh.

But seriously, its unrivalled IMO. Why don't you like it?

It's suckout central. Maybe I'm just an unlucky person. I've given it a go again tonight and have already disappeared out of a tournament with aces to jacks. 2 outer going to the river sees me go. Happens far too often on there. Also If you slow play you will, no ifs or buts, get done on the river. The site isn't realistic in my eyes.

It does however offer the best range of tournaments at all price ranges and is very easy to use. It just isn't quite right for me

When these things happen just sit back and read their pages on how these things are indeed bad luck. There's nothing dodgy about them, people have to accept this and the occasional suck outs and imagine being on the other side of them. I busted out of a 180 man tournament the other day when my KK was busted by A7 after he hit a J on the turn and 10 on the river to give him a straight. Never mind, seen plenty of suck outs on Youtube too. I'd be more dubious of smaller sites software, not the biggest in the world.

Another reason I enjoy them is their minimum deposit only being $10

Its just a random conspiracy theory but the reckoning about Pokerstars is that the software is designed in a manner that generates action with the suckouts been a part of it. I've played a few other sites, none of which are mac compatible, and they didn't seem as bad. I don't mind losing at poker, i know I'm not a world beater. The manner that I disappear out of most tourneys on Pokerstars is nothing short of laughable. You just wouldn't get knocked out in the style you do on that site every time. No doubt I'll stick with it as it's mac compatible and easy to use

There isn't enough posters here IMO, I'd much rather do it on BetFair, See here:
The Joker® wrote:Think i'll stick £110 on Salford City Reds (+24.5) tonight against Leeds Rhinos (4/5)

No aftertiming there, Can i also mention i had £10 on Stacey Slater Murdering Archie Mitchell at (12/1) :D
Dave Lister wrote:Do you stake on Betfair, The Joker®?

I used to but it wasn't really my cup of tea and i was losing on there, I just use the Forum.

I don't share my tips on here because i'm a believer that my bets will be jinxed, I could have mentioned that Paint The Town Red was backed heavyly today and passed it on as my own tip which it wasn't, The question is how many people consistently beat the bookie with regular winning bets of 5/1+?., Obviously it's fair to say since the day i started betting i'll be showing a loss but if i posted every brt i had a week on here then i'd take up alot of posts....
