I have been searching through the internet an it seems that holdsworth was one of the most talked about up and coming stars in the nrl a few years back an was renound for his pace, strengh and goalkicking. Also his main position was at 6 and mcrae seems to want him to play at loose and it looks like he wants to keep him there. But in my opinion this makes our team very unbalanced by playing a mainly attacking player at position where last sesion we played swain and it made our team more defenceifly stong (most of the time).
My point is that with a player like holdsworth who has such attaking ability to play him at 6 where he will most affective with ratchford or m.smith at 7 and put swain at lose where last sesion he did so well and is very defenceifly strong to me would make our team so much more balanced.

Holdsworth was also targeted in the NRL for his weak defence so playing him at 13 seems even stranger?!

I'd quite like to see how Ratchford and Holdsworth go together at half back, with M & J Smith alternating at 9, Alker and Adamson in the second row (and Sibb on the bench) then Swain at 13.

i agree i would like to see that team but to be fair to Holdsworth his defence in all the games up to now has been very strong

The form player is Holdsworth,he is a stand off.
Its not rocket science.
He should be selected at stand off.
Simples.

I'd try keeping him at loose, but let him do whatever he wants and not play as a conventional loose, more like a second stand off.

So Ratchford back at centre?
As Smith is obviously a 7.

How posters' views change.

Perhaps posters views should be encouraged to change, based on current form and results rather than entrenched views.
It was right that Ratchford should start the season at stand off.
Based on current form Holdsworth needs to play there because we also need to beef up the pack.

I agree we seem to be under using holsworth, i wouldnt move him to standoff though, just give him more ball rather than him waiting around for it
