player contracts run 1st nov-31st oct normally. AFAIK newton stopped training with bulls as soon as he suffered the season ending injury back end of july ( think it was commented on plenty at time that solomona, who had a slim chance of being fit if we were involved in playoffs was involved in warmup each week, whilst newton was no where to be seen). So there was approx 4 months between his last involvement with us and the drug test. Even assuming he continued training until the last game of regular season when it was confirmed we wouldnt be involved in playoffs then there was still 3 months before the test. Cant see any alleged drugs taken staying in his system that long. Anyone with medical knowledge feel free to chime in.

well i believe most of our new players joined the club on the 13th Nov. so he would have been signed and sealed a wakefield player.

No they aren't. They're just taking cheats and those who don't care about the safety of other players out of the game.

Drug taking is rife amongst RL players, performance enhancing and recreational. I know we like to think of our sporting heroes as all living the clean life law and abiding citizens but I'm afraid it isn't true. They are just normal people that live normal lives and that often involves mixing with the 'wrong' kind of people as I'm sure many of us on here have experienced. Young men doing things that lots of young men do, drink, drugs, sex and rock and roll.

This is why think sportsmen and women should not be classed as role models and think it's ridiculous when folks hammer them for not being a role model.
