Looks tough though
Hudds (H)
Cas (A)
Saints (H)
Wakey (H)
Leeds (A)
Cats (A)
So you expect only to win 1 of those? Leeds & Saints is rarely a win for any team although you do get the odd occasion. I think you have a fair chance in most of them. Just this weekend i think you will get bossed around in the middle but knowing my prediction skills you will probably coast it
It will obviously depend on whose available, but we have lost Briscoe and I assume Cockayne will fill in there. While i am a fan of Cockaynes for his effort and enthusiasm and his never say die attitude, he isn't Briscoe and we looked really vulnerable from the last tackle high kicks when he went off.
We are light in the pack and I have thought we will struggle until the pitches firm up a bit, then our mobility and pace in the forwards will be a big assett. We need to beef up in the front row and I am hoping Clinton is close to arriving to cover that department.
I will be much more at ease when Galea gets back, I would put him in the back row and keep Cooke at loose man. I would have Webster back in the centres and (if hes fit) Ratu in place of Welham as he has looked vulnerable so far.
I have thought we would struggle a bit in the first few weeks when I saw the fixtures, it has not alarmed me as I do think we will cause some problems (even against the big packs) when the pitches get firmer.
Your right when you say anything can happen, but we are starting to have some injuries to positions that are vital to us (Briscoe, Galea), I dread to think what we would do if Dobson or Newton had to have a lengthy spell out on top of these.
