I think widnes will with the great sponsorship from stobarts and ste o connor. We had the biggest average attendances in the championship than salford. We have had longer in the championship than salford so interest is bound to go.In 2005 sl widnes averaged 6700 and that was a poor team.We deserve a chance as much as any other club such as salford, celtic, wakey or castleford. Why should anyone be given the god given right.Think teams are lucky their is no relegation and promotion.

Your financial record has earned you a three year stint in the Championship.
If it wasn't for SoC you could be Swinton by now.
Perhaps you should concentrate on trying to do well down there rather than taking cheap shots at SL clubs who are going through tough times?

Love him or hate him, 163 consecutive appearances should make Stuart Littler a Salford legend in anyone's book

OK, I've allowed my disappointment to fade a little and here are my thoughts.
Alker should be in 2nd row and absolutely nowhere near the dummy half, I can pick up the ball quicker than him. On friday the defesive line was on the receiver before he got the ball.
Put one of the Smiths at Hooker.
we need some tactics and McRae if you don't know what the issue/problem is do the decent thing and resign.
We need to sort out the centre position, McGillvary was left with no protection on friday which resulted in 3 tries.
Well played to Holdsworth the stand out player and only one who looked lively.

I've had several bosses in my time who have hardly been inspirational to me, but that has never stopped me doing my job to the best of my abilities becasue I have personal pride in what I do. Pity some of the players don't seem have that same personal pride.

I haven’t read every post so apologies if repeating what others have said. Friday’s performance was absolutely woeful, our players were totally out muscled and enthused by a team that wanted it so much more than our guys from 1 to 17. Yes OK we had a couple of outside backs missing and lost Cashmere with an injury early but we couldn’t even make a fight of it. With the exception of Holdsworth who made a few clean breaks the team just looked like a bunch of amateurs and completely out of their depth.
I just can’t understand why McRae or Simms didn’t react to the tactical high kicks to the left after the first couple of tries conceded. To ignore it and do nothing and then allow it to happen another three times is one of the poorest coaching decisions I’ve ever witnessed. Why didn’t they take off ‘little McGillivray’ and switch Sibbit (6’3) to centre and Gibson to the wing??
The team sadly lacked enthusiasm and creativity and this game must go down as one of the worst Salford home performances I’ve ever witnessed, and I’ve seen some shockers over the years.
For the first home fixture you would think the Coaches and players would be so fired up to get the fans behind them? But it seems they are totally clueless to the commercial impact that kind of performance will have on the club.
First accept sadness. Realise that without losing 70% of the time, winning wouldn't be such a relief.

If I knew for a fact that tha majority of Reds players read this board regularly I definitely would.

I too was bitterly dissapointed on Friday night.I looked at the size of our team against the size of Crusaders and thought straight away we were going to be in trouble.I agree, why on earth after the first try in the opening minutes did the alarm bells not start ringing. To concede one try to the bomb into the corner was bad , two was terrible, but five is criminal . It was painful to watch it coming [ if we could see the bomb coming, why didnt the coach ] I have seen no progress what so ever under SM in two and a half years. Is it his coaching , or is it the players he is working with ? All the other teams will now spot this weakness and try to exploit it, you can bet on it. You need somebody who can at least jump to try and diffuse these bombs.

Just to let people know.
I looked at the weight of a few other packs in super league and if the super league website is correct we actually have one of the heaviest in Super League!!!!!
Think somebody else hit the nail on the head pointing out we didn't come up in a line at all and we didn't hit the ball at pace until LULU and Boyle came on.
