I dont agree with it being the Texans fault it was just a freak injury that could have happened to anybody, he shouldnt have been in the game anyway to be fair.(although Bernard Pollard the little wanchor who plays for them now and jumped on Bradys knee the year before should have got a bigger punishment at the time ) I hope he can comeback and make a full recovery but Im not sure we will use him an awful lot next year, I think the best thing to do is let him work his way back slowly and aim for the year after, but of course it all depends how quickly he heals/gets used to his reconstructed knee.
Although Brady had the same injury the difference in positions means he will take longer to get used to it IMO, lets face it Brady doesnt run very often because theres no need for him to, but Welker makes a living from his yards after catch.
I would love to see Boldin in a Pats uniform likewise Brandon Marshall but knowing us and the way we are when it comes to splashing the cash , I cant see either never mind both sadly

BB in the post game presser said it was due to the poor condition of the pitch which the NFL have warned the Texans about before in previous years, so it could have happened to anyone, it just unfortunately happened to one of the best players in the league and not a certain Mr Pollard

Michael Lombardi reported on WEEI (sports talk show thingy on the radio) that the Patriots would be looking to spend this off season but not go too far overboard (so nothing silly like 1 year for $20m) but the likes of Peppers, Dansby, Boldin would be manageable, Boldin would be happy with 6-8 a year, Peppers will have to be over 10m and I'm not too sure on what Dansby would want, but getting them 3 in free agency would be the perfect build up to the draft.

Was reading something on the nfl forum before which made me laugh.
Apparently Moss is done because he cant catch
Brady is poor and should be traded for a 3rd round pick
Welker "fell" over against the Texans and feigned injury because he knew the Pats would do nothing in the playoffs! !
Laurence Maroney is playing bad on purpose so the Pats will release him!
and all this coming from a Detroit fan
How stupid are some people? Surely whoever wrote it cant seriously believe it

ST_CONROY wrote:Hopefully nobody. I said the same about Vick so i'm being consistent. The guy killed somebody while drink driving and only served 24 days in prison. Vick's crimes were horredous but Stallworth's are arguably worse considering he actually took a life (albeit accidental compared to Vick who obviously intended everything he did). For me doing what he did should forfeit the right to play in the league.
As it is i think he'll end up on either: Bengals, Lions, Chiefs, Raiders. Bengals being the most likely.
I doubt there will be a lot really. He was hardly a world-beater prior to his conviction.
It would be amusing if he were to end up at the Packers.
Darth Polian has also blamed the refs & WR's for the loss Mike Pereira said (confirmed) last night that Polian brings in rules that help the Colts and everyone else in the league wanted to change pass interference to a 15 yard penalty but he refused and kept it as a spot foul (nothing to do with the Colts getting phantom pass int calls at least once a game eh? )

You've got a real problem with Manning, haven't you?
He's in the top 2 QBs of his generation, no questions asked IMO. Blaming him for the Colts losing in the Superbowl is equivalent to blaming Rogers for the Packers losing to the Cardinals - it shows a deep lack of understanding of the game beyond personality politics.

It looks like Ernie Accorsi's bet with Tony La Russa is still on. In 2008 he bet the St Louis Cardinals manager Tony La Russa, that Eli will win more rings than Peyton.
