I hate him already, purely for this thread.
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

from todays express online.
Is it just me or does this story completely contradict itself. It states Clinton has had to resubmit his application because there were errors in it, yet this in some way confirms rovers are struggling to get him under the cap, not sure of the logic there.
Surely us getting him under the cap has no bearing on whether he can get a visa or not.
Actually it's critical. If you can't fit him under the cap, he doesn't have a job. If he doesn't have a job, he won't get a working visa.

This thread is for updates on Joel, therefore if you stuck to what the topic is about rather then spouting shiite and derailing it off topic (fitzgibbon ect) then we wouldnt be on 53 pages - keep it on topic and then theres no need to lock it at all!
Or if your that dis-interested then DONT READ IT!

So how does this work out then, You need to have him registered with the RFL to officailly employ him although you can't register him with the RFL unless he has a visa, yet you can't get him a visa unless he's registered with the RFL.

Well said
On the subject of Joel, If and when he does pull on the famous red and white shirt what are we all expecting from him?
He hasn't played for a while and it will be a new country and a new set of team mates so I think it could well be a few months after playing his first game that we see what we actually have.

Runs on to the pitch to Carmina Burana, breaks the line with his first carry, steps the fullback and goes into score from 80 metres, grounding the ball with a triple salko and pike and severely injuring himself in the process. Spends the rest of the season in traction before announcing his retirement from RL, to allow him to play Stanley Kowalski in A Streetcar Named Desire on Broadway. Still regarded by most pundits as a better signing than Mark O'Meley.

He doesn't need a visa to be registered with the RFL. He just needs a valid contract and space on the cap.
