It's hardly any fault of Wigan that HKR didn't foresee such problems, all they had to do was issue junior pass holders with 14 away ticket vouchers
And you call yourself an eco-warrior? Tch. Why would tickets be needed? Display pass, enter. All those wasted trees.

Now why would Wigan have a barcode reader?

According to your website, unless they make a trip to Rovers before Friday afternoon they have to go to the Wigan ticket office for a ticket and then have their card posted back to CP, then Rovers will ring them and they have to go in to collect it. Yet another admin triumph.
I've just seen that on the official website. What an absolute load of bullocks! Who in their right mind is going to hand over their pass to Wigan and then hope they post it to Rovers, then hope Rovers remember to pass it back to you? I'm glad my daughter is too old for a Jr pass these days.

I think the people manning them is short term, in the future we will upgrade to self scanning turnstiles like they have at Elland Road.

Considering the match is Friday night I would imagine anyone wanting a junior ticket would have got it before Friday afternoon anyway
Did you get rid of all the voices in your head? Do you now miss them and the things that they said?

I cant imagine anyone would expect to be able to use the new style passes at someone elses ground
That being the case, why not send out a voucher booklet with the card pass? What is wrong with other clubs' staff checking the pass is valid on the turnstile and handing it back? Okay, I can see a couple of loopholes, but they hardly justify this rigmarole and they could apply to standard tickets too.
