Thats the way I remember it.

We offered him a deal and his agent told him to turn it down because he would be worth more if he played for England (and it was looking likely at the time). Then he didn't play for England (I cant remember if he was injured or just didnt get picked) and when he tried to start negotiations with Hull again he was told there was no longer a deal on the table.

...or they didn't know that. Still, sounds like it is sorted now and I'm expecting no further conflicting information to emerge before he makes his much anticipated debut.
