Our forwards carried the ball very strongly. Particularly Lovegrove, Wheeldon and Watts. On a fast track we would have had 50 today quite comfortably imo.
Steady start but it maybe a case of horses for courses, and Ratu was down for the centre spot before his training injury. Cooke appears to be most fans MOTM but Rovers do appear more mobile this season.
Standing up to the forum bully.
It must be working, he doesn't like me...i'm devastated

I dont think that Jake is a long term answer to stand-off but he showed today he is a very able replacement if we are ever short through injuries. With Galea likely to be out for Wigan I would have no worries about throwing him back in at 6 on Friday.
I think Morgan has shown himself once again to be a very shrewd tactician.
What immortal hand or eye, Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?
I don't know how he or Cooke played today so I can't comment too much, however this idea of Webster at 6 and Cooke in the pack seems a little strange to me.
Webster is a very strong runner and he will come on to the ball at pace and bust tackles, but he cant kick, isn't very creative and hasn't got much of a passing game. It means that Dobson is your sole go to man and if he has an off game or picks up an injury then what? Equally Cooke is too light weight to be carting the ball up all the time. You might get away against it in games like todays but bigger and more aggressive packs will make mince meat of him. Just stick with what has served you well over the last year or so. Cooke may not have set the world alight but at least you know he is capable of putting someone through a hole or puting a relieving kick in. Alot of people have already said you are a one man team and by doing this I just think you are relying on Dobson even more.

Dobson was average today and we were by no means reliant on him. Cooke put in one of his best performances ever in Red & White.

Greg Inglis can't kick or pass (much anyway) but it works quite well for Melbourne.

Thanks for your concern though.
I'm not having a go, I just think it's a little strange. I guess time will tell if it's a good move or not.

Paul Cooke was the star 13 for Hull FC for many years only moving to 6 later on in his Hull career. He is a 13 and has been all his life so dont see your point with reguards to him.
As for Webster at 6 if you didnt go today then you missed exactly what he is capable of. I dont know anyone who left Craven Park today not confident both Cooke and Webster will produce the goods at 6 and 13 respectively.
Webster doesnt need to be able to kick we have Dobson, Cooke, Galea, Murrell and Fisher that are all more than capable of putting the kicking duties in and by the looks of it Cooke got his hands on the ball a lot more than normal today and it did not effect Dobsons all round game.
