Hull KR can confirm they have received a letter from the Stadium Management Committee at the KC Stadium following the recent derby game between Rovers and Hull FC...

The letter regards an alleged incident involving club mascot ‘Rufus the Robin' to which the club is looking into in co-operation with the SMC.
General Manager Mike Smith said: "I received a letter from John Cooper of the SMC following the game between Hull KR and Hull FC at the KC Stadium, for the Richard Horne Testimonial, regarding Rufus.

"Whilst they have yet to complete their investigations I can confirm the club will support Mr Cooper to assist him with his enquiries."

"I would like to make supporters aware that the investigation is specific to the individual and not to Rufus as the Club's mascot."

"We fully understand the fans and their support of Rufus, however John Cooper and his team have been of great assistance to us, over the years, at Craven Park and we know how well they are respected throughout the world of rugby league and football."

Mike added: "I intend to meet with John over the next few days and we will inform the fans the outcome of the inquiry."

The Club will be making no further comment on this until the inquiry has been completed
