Salford City Reds full-back Karl Fitzpatrick is cleared to play in his side's Super League opener at Hull KR.
Fitzpatrick was fined £200 after being found guilty of striking during the pre-season friendly against Widnes Vikings.
But he escaped a ban at the RFL's first Disciplinary Committee of the season on Tuesday night - and will be available for selection at Craven Park on Sunday.

Great news Fitzy has been playing fantastic at the moment him being banned would have ment having to rejig the team and the way we have played through our pre season games.
imo we go into the hull kr game with a settled side which makes all the difference when your in the trenches @ craven park

Great news, but I wonder weather fitzy's 2nd phase runs will be as damaging to super league opposition as they were against Swinton & Widnes. He seems to have a new turn of pace this year, but we will see for sure on Sunday. Come on the Reds!

Fitzy has always had that pace, but after his achilles injury couple of seasons back, which is a major injury, it has just taken him time to get all his atributes back on song, hopefully, what we have seen against Swinton & Widnes is just the start of his potential this year.
I wonder what our back line will be on Sunday then, I can imagine Fitzy, henry and talau starting but then theres Mcgilivray, Gibson, Littler, Broughton and Tyrer. A couple of them are going to be left without a spot
According to one of their fans I had the misfortune of debating with after the game, their player only walked as a kind of compensation for Fitzy being sent off! What a comedian. The same moron also pointed out that we have no fan base, a lack of decent facilities and no history.... Once again.... He got his answers. However, 3 other Widnes fans redeemed any sort of Widnes sanity by siding with myself and Iain. (Thought I best put this last sentence before any irate, illiterate responses clog up this page.)
