Apparently it will less then 10,500 because some seats are closed for safety, sky camera men etc! Duno how many but i hope it tops 10k after all the hype.
Yeah, brilliant news. You'll be pleased to hear that Turner predicetd a sell-out for OUR inaugural match against Leeds LAST year.
What you need to know is that Turner considers the thousands of speculative free tickets for schools he has issued as "sales".
And what ELSE you need to consider is that Turner NEEDS the move back to "heartlands adjacent" to be a success for him to keep his job. After selling us in South Wales down the river he will be heavily spending Moss' money to promote the game like he never bothered to do with us.
Enjoy MY club Gogs. I put a lot of hard work into it.
Just for the record, Still just speculation Port. This is not the same club. Different owner, name, badge, location, coaching staff, company, most of the team. Yet they have our franchise spot. It does SEEM that the gogs are making a go of it. But it SEEMED the same last year. Same old lies about being a sell-out match. Remember Turner said the EXACT SAME THING last year about our first match against Hull FC. What was the final attendance? 6,500-ish I recall.
He is counting the thousands of freebie tickets he has given to local schools.
Perhaps it will be a success. But it seemed so last year when the CELTIC Crusaders started in Superleague.

If there had have been one available it could have gone any one of three clubs.

Which schools had thousands of free tickets? I know several of the local schools gave out Discount vouchers (£8 adult £4 children), but I don't know of any "free" tickets.

Regardless of how it is achieved, the buzz of a sell-out should hopefully set a self perpetuating demand to go and see the new venture in Wrexham. Can’t believe some supporters are trying to knock this landmark with the same old ‘we’d get 8000 if we ere in SL’ type comments. Widnes are perhaps the only ones who could hit 10K.

Widnes got over 8000 in the championship game against salford, but their was free tickets.Yes widnes could get near 10,000 if was in superleague. They averaged 7000 in a half decent superleague season and got nearly 10,000 against saints in a paid game, with no freebies.Unfortunanetly widnes never got in the top 6 to attract more fans as was always struggling.Anyway hope it goes well for celtic, even though i am a gutted widnes fan.Maybe if we get in superleague it be another derby game like wire, saints and wigan.
Goon, you want me to NAME them? And you KNOWING I'm from the place you pinched your club from. Kevin Ellis, a club employee, stated in his local (local HERE not THERE) newspaper column that it should be a well attended game because thousands of free tickets were given out to schools.

To be fair, there doesn't look to be thousands of children at Wrexham!
