Whilest agree in principle with what your saying the most salient word in that entire paragraph has been highlighted. Some Germans killed millions of Jews, a miniscule amount of muslims want to wage war on the west, Irishmen bombed Manchester - but do we keep harping on about this or do we forgive and try to move on???.

Indeed, moving on is a quite wonderful idea. Especially as many RU supporters of the modern era bare no malice towards RL. However, I find it impossible to move on at this moment in time. Why? Well; as it currently stands, RL is still regarded and portrayed by influential institutions within society as an inferior, third rate game played by poorly educated northerners. Sound bitter don't I? Well, I believe I have good reason. The last challenge cup final and come to the think of it, at least the last 20 challenge cup finals have been ignored by the royal family. The BBC, yet another member of the establishment, are now trying to wipe our biggest spectacle from the sporting calendar and out of the conscious of the floating-potential supporter. The national media find it hard to allocate a page on GF day yet you can regularly find reams representing RU throughout the season. Hardly surprising considering the close relationships of editors and RU reps going back to elitest uni days. Furthermore, I'm yet to read a formal apology and witness attempts to redress the balance of fair game from the RFU for the last 115 years of snidey, underhanded, deceitful tactics employed by generations of arrogant white collar elitests... So yes, it would be nice to forgive and forget, but my word, I'm gonna have to see some repentance before that happens.
I respect RU as a game. I respect the fact that many people love it having spent a lifetime involved with the game. But I totally disrespect its objectives with regards to its systematic destruction of RL...

Not my best grammar. But my word this topic winds me up big style. Certainly nothing personal against you MR. Just a very different opinion on this particular topic.

Being ignored by the royal family is good thing, do we really want the credance or a family of inbreds?.
I think you'll find that whilest SL is an infinately better spectacle than your run of the mill RU league game the international game is lightyears ahead of us, even the predictable 6 nations I find a better game to watch than all RL games other than GB V Australia or the Anzac game and often now the GB game is a one sided exhibition by the Aussies leaveing only Anzac games as a genuine context of worthy proportions.
And as i've said to another poster on here it is shocking that your type of grudge holding still runs so deep, do you still detest the German and Japenese people for the war? do you throw insults at Muslim people walking down the road, from the comments i've read I wouldnt be surprised.

Oh how wrong you are. I have many German friends who have told me about the German education system and how it emphasises the importance of never letting what happened many years ago, happen ever again. I have met numerous Japanese people who I find to be quite lovely people. Hospitable almost to a fault if not a little introverted. As for the last comment with regards to my conduct towards Muslims. Come on now. If you only new. I have an immense respect for the Islamic faith and frequently enter into theological and religious discussion with many muslims and muslim scholars. The similarities between Islam and Christianity are lengthy and thought provoking.... My word. I'm in shock that an exercise in the sharing of opinion on whether it's correct to dislike RU has descended into an exercise in suggestive insult slinging.... Can't quite believe that you've just suggested that I'm a racist! And I can't believe I've just had to defend myself.... I'm sure those that know me on here will see how ridiculous such a suggestion with regards to my values is..... I won't be replying to any more of your responses. I care not for such abusive suggestion and speculation.

Didnt mean to insunate that you were racist, it was meant to say that if your as unforgiving towards something as harmless as a sport then what potentially are you like when faced by something such as the Holocaust. For the record as I know you not from Adam I wouldnt be able to make any such comment, though for me it is only a small step from such crass grudge holding towards RU to biggotry of a more suspicious kind.
Time I think to draw a line.
