at least the council acknowledges the community work that the club does, very nice to get recognition for that. council have said they will ensure the new ground is delivered, however council promises dont mean a lot do they?
personally enjoy going to the willows, used to be even better when the showbar was open. ps. all SL clubs are financially up the creek no matter what they pretend, just look at the figures

I can't believe the number of "fans" who expect the club to disclose details of their business. Would you expect the local butcher to give you details???
Count our blessings we have a council willing to invest in our future.
I am worried about the future and if Feb doesn't bring some work on the site I will be more concerned.

Agree RW - just wish my local - ie within 3 miles - butcher wasn't shutting in a couple of weeks.

Not sure the council are involved with Hairnets. The RFL now has control of the mandatory 45% lease of the stadium from the stadium company in order to keep Hairnets afloat. Having said this, RMBC may still plough money into Spotland Stadium via the RFL...

I think its only right and fair that the Council should support the reds, for the amount of money that is pumped into other leisure facilities and the Lowry IN SALFORDThe Reds should be Top priority. What intrests mealso is the fact the RFL redhall are scouting for a move to the Media city when it is finished, That my friends tells you that i think we are pretty much nailed on for another license,It will be a dream partnership to have the RFL based in Salford and to have a Superleagueteam in Salford . We have the potential to be a Huge club !And im here for the long haul Asfor the Salford Star what a depressing rag!

The RFL could not afford the rent at Media City, but on another note nobody gets on here when companies get council contracts with costs 3 times the real value if doing the same job in the commercial world, now thats money for old rope, and none of them pay any of it back.

Sadly not. They were purchased from an entrepreneur/forger from Bolton who created them in his garden shed, with the assistance of his elderly parents
