Hmm I heard about this today at work, I'm very surprised I must say, I thought it was nailed on.

Salford council were against it, because it is building on Greenbelt land in Worsley, but it is Ok by them to build industrial units on greenbelt in Irlam, I would have thought that a race course would have added to the greenbelt.

Worsley residents can now probably look forward to a new "titan" prison then.

Anything that provides local jobs for the people of Irlam and Cadishead, thus reducing the need for them to come in to contact with the rest of the City, can only be a good thing.

Hopefully the Council will adopt the same progressive policy for Pigtown.

I'm giving it a fortnight before this is trotted out as the newest excuse for the Stadium being delayed again anyway.
