It's not difficult to see Liverpool's problems. They start with Rafa and end with Benitez.

They paid £18m for a pathetic right back in Johnson so can never ever moan about not being able to spend money. In order to win the Premier League Liverpool realistically need 2 centre backs, 2 fullbacks, two central midfielders, two wide midfielders and two strikers. Rafa has arguably the two best players in the Premier League and has used this as his get out of jail card for far too long. Why did he spend £18 on Glen Johnson when he only has ONE striker? What did he think would happen when that ponce Goldylocks got injured? Why did he spend £15m+ on an Italian midfielder who had been injured for a year?
