He does put up a fine bomb, the most impressive part is rachfords chase imo, he's always one of the 1st to reach the area where the bomb lands and he'll get away from the play off the ball so no silly penalities are conceeded, J smith is another one when he kicks, the only problem is smith will try and dish out a bit of afters when the tackle is complete and usually get penalised for it
could it be a trust thing where he feels the team arnt able to defend on the front foot and needs to be set in a formation or could it be a fitness thing for him that he'll hang on for that split second too long trying to get his breath or is it a bit of both?
if he could resist and concentrate on getting ready for the next tackle, wheather thats rolling away @ the play off the ball or being ready to make the next tackle i dont know this i recon he wouldnt get the same stick he experienced last season if he improved this part of his game .
A bomb is only as good as the chase when trying to build pressure, if we had a few more with the hunger to get to the ball legally and not standing offside thinking it wont come to you and we get more people round the target area our 50/50 chance of retreaving the ball or causing an error grows to 70/30 in our favour equals more chances and more tries.
in my opinion you can tell alot by how good a team is by how good there chase is.
