Believe the original plan was for a 14000 capacity stadium, not aware a 14000 average crowd was mentioned.

If i was an fc fan (God forbid, may i go to hell for even saying such a thing) but yes i would have been there and would have hated it BUT i'd have still have turned up the following year in far better weather or 'any kind of weather' even with the same crap view, paid my money and watched my team! I stood at leeds in torrential rain blowing in my face last year for over an hour before the game started, soaking wet, I couldnt see the far end try line but was there anyway but guess what, i went back again for the playoff when we was on a hiding to nothing! Obviously your lot didnt bother! We'll look after our supporters first by building the east stand extension, then think about your lot later!

That just about sums Hull KR upto a tee. Maybe if the idiot who allowed the stadium to be designed like it was in the first place had remembered their job was to cater for away fans as well, maybe your ground which is only 20 years old wouldn't be boycotted my most away fans

So they are fans that would travel to attend a final but not a game against Crusaders at Craven Park.
Really passionate.

That dosnt sum Hull KR upto a tee present day, i was saying that we're building the east stand extension to accomadate the fans we know will fill it then eventually build a south stand, finances permitting. We wont fill a brand new south stand with visiting fans from celtic harlequins catalans etc. so it is a lower priority.
The ground is a bad design and built on a limited budget from the proceeds of the old ground 20 years ago and mistakes were obviously made but in time and through a lot of hard work and determination the ground will be much improved, firstly for home fans obviously, we'll look forward to you travelling across when its upto your high standards, though like i said in earlier posts it dosnt matter about the view or facilities when i go away to support my team.
Neil Hudgel said the aim was to get the capacity up to around 14k and and try and fill it or get it as near to full as possible week-in-week out. This was mentioned about a year ago and he said they felt it would be realistic to aim for that within the next 5 years. It's not exactly a 14k 'average', but an ambitious project to get crowds up to that sort of level.
Don't get me wrong it'll take a great deal of hardwork and is totally dependent on the development of the stadium, but the catchment area is easily big enough to generate that level of matchday support so it surprises me that having gone from 2/3k to 8/9k in 3 years, people think it's unrealistic.
