A few of us have been looking at getting a fundraiser going for Forever Reds and have come up with this idea:

Sponsor a try 2010. For every try Salford score during the 2010 season people donate a suggested amount to Forever Reds. There would be two options:

Sponsor every try scored during home games throughout the season

Sponsor every try scored during both home and away games throughout the season.

Suggested amount would be 50p or £1 per try.

Possible fundraising amount: If 100 people were to sponsor £1 per try for each home game, and Salford scored 50 tries then £5000 would be raised. This is just an example of what could be raised. People would be free to sponsor more/less if they wish.

Remember all money raised would be going towards the Salford academy setup, which is an increasing important part of the club with the franchise system now in place.

If there is enough interest we will look at getting this going for the first league game of the season. Over to you folks.

Great idea Karl, next meeting is 18th Jan could sort it out then, can you come down to the meeting to set it up with us.

Me and Chris Charles No1 Fan will have a dabble with this. £1 per try at home between us.
