I understand though that Arsene Wenger thinks you should get all three points. Arsenal are too pure to accept deflected goals.

Would prefer a loss in that and a win in this to be honest. Suppose to be gutted leaving Arsenal with only a point shows we're finally doing something right :)

When the ball hits the net, it's not Torres or Shrek, it's Aguero

Nice try.

Does it not prove Shankly's thesis, considering the tournament is still to go ahead?

Considering he was renowned as an energetic, strong midfielder who played as a box-to-box player, it's hard to see what he'll do now. He's slow, lethargic and he won't bring Alonso-esque passing to City. He could probably do a job in the similar way Hamann done a job for them, but you would think they'd be well past 'do a job' players with their money, especially old ones with big wage packets.

One of the best sporting quotes of all time.

It's nonsense. Anyone with any sense knows it's nonsense. But when the game is being played, virtually everyone watching probably agrees with the quote.

Clattenberg over-rules his linesman to give United a goal. Fergie will still bitch at you over the amount of injury time you give, you git.

I can only presume the lino flagged as he thought Rooney had scored. As he hadn't it was a goal.

Just saw one replay on the news. TBH from that replay there didn't seem to be any hint of an offside.

Clattenburg should've still disallowed it though.
