careful, you will upset the 'bring back Fletch, McClarron, Everitt because they will cut it in Super League' brigade.
Are we voting for THE BEST or are we voting for our favourites ? Cooke is head and shoulders a better player than Mansson.
My vote go's for Dobson, because he is the best scrum half we have had in donkey's years. Webbo is a hero, no doubting that and he served the club well, but he was below average in SL, Dobson is one of the best scrum halves in SL.

You need to remove your head from your ar$e and get it to CP to watch him then.

Guffaw! Are they making you work this weekend to make up for your snow bound days?
Realistically, it has to be Dobson.
"Team of the Decade" implies best players, that's Dobson. Most important? Webster, certainlsy above anybody else.
I think it's a shame that Webster wastn't a little bit bigger and therefore hadn't been such a target in defence. Maybe then he could have been an answer to our hooking situation, or at least kept as half back and hooker cover much like Obst at Wakey.
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Has to be Webster! Was superb little player, lead us superbly, brought a professional attitude to the club, like a few have mentioned, for me he will go down as a true Rovers great for what he helped us achieve.

Ah, I see, because I have a different opinion to you I obviously don't go to watch Rovers.Hmmm.
For your information I've seen enough of both to come to the conclusion that there's not much difference between their abilities as scrum halfs and for me Webbo's unquestioned leadership on the field, a real "general" swing the decision for me. Take Dobson out of the team and it's a blow (a big one), take Webbo out and it's crippling.

Is anyone suggesting that we bring back Fletch, McClarron or Everitt? If you don't think Fletch in his prime would have made a good SL player then you're probably in a minority of one. But I think to bring him back now is probably a year or two too late
Since we're making sweeping generalistations I guess that you're choices are based on the fact you've only seen Rovers in SL

Fletch would have made a squad player in his prime.

No, far too important to them to pi$$ me off
Don't get me wrong, Webbo was fantastic for us, he came when we needed a leader and at NL1 level he was awesome, but in SL he was ordinary, if Morgan thought he had something long term to offer a Super League side (which is exactly what we are now), he would have ridden out his injury and kept him.
As for size, its irrelevant, you should know this supporting a side that had a certain Roger Millward play for it.
No-one will be more grateful than me for what Webbo did for us, but we are in a different place now and in my opinion Dobson is a far more complete player than Webbo, with a lot more tactical skills. I am basing my selection on best players of the decade, rather than any other reason, which is hard for me to look any further than what we have now. This seems to indicate to some on here that I have only watched Rovers since SL and don't recall the Joe's, Mansson's, McClarrons etc, when in fact I remember them very well, which is why I have chosen the current players, mainly because they are light years ahead of them.
