That is exactly the point i have tried to make. We have started off really poorley in previous seasons winning only 3 of our first 10 last year.

If we adopt the win every game mentatility and the next game is the biggest of the season menatality we should start to play more consistently.

We want to do things the "Wigan Way" and that means winning every game we participate in. The bit that has let us down in the recent past seasons has been our results from the first half of the season and most of all consistency.

A successful Wigan side could potentially attract 18k every week. I for one cannot wait.

We seem to have had more than our fair share of banana skins over the last few seasons. That's one of the main things that will need to change under the new coaching team.

Quote from Graham Lowe - "I'm 49, I've had a brain haemorrhage and a tripple bypass and I could still go out and play a reasonable game of rugby union ......... but I wouldn't last 30 seconds in rugby league!"

Cas away has always been tricky to win, been beaten there on many occasions and I can't think of any times we ever gave Cas a whooping even in our glory days.

Our results from the past 5 years show we have lost at least 3 games from our first 7. This sort of start is not good enough if we want to be challenging for honours. A good start to the season this year is crucial. Winning breeds confidence and a good start could see us kick on this year and really be a force in Super league.

The seaon needs to be treated as 4 quaters each lasting 2 months or so.If you were to split this down we can afford to lose no more than 2 games in each quater if we have a desire to finish in the top 3. If we suffer more than 2 defeats in each period we would need to win more in the other periods. Based on this theory we will definbately need to adopt " the wigan way " win every game we play mentality.
