As for us, i'm very confident that so long as we keep Rodgers standing up we can make the Superbowl. Defence is our strong point, #1 in turnover differential with + 25. #1 in Interceptions as a team. #1 rushing yards allowed.
AFC i can't see it being anybody but San Diego. I hate Rivers with a passion but he is excellent. Indy have blown it, they will have no momentum going into the play-offs having lost twice. The Bengals and Ravens will fall short. New England are damaged goods and will go out this week IMO. The Jets are an enigma but ultimately a rookie QB will bring them down.
I think it will be a NFC Championship game of Packers @ Vikes and AFC being Jets @ Chargers (if thats possible)
Yeah, it's a fair point. You may not be happy about being so low, I'm not happy about being so high! I really believe SD have everything in place this year, but I don't think we'll get there. Something will go wrong, it always does.
The 2nd string beat the Redskins last night (well, it was the 2nd string after they were 13-0 up), and the HUGE bright spot for me was
BUSTer Davis, our 07 number 1 pick. He looked like a good underneath receiver and I'm hoping he's over his injury nightmares. If we can work him into the game plan along with Gates, V-Jack, MoFlo and Nannee we'll be scary. I know one swallow doesn't make a spring (or is it summer) and all that, but there's hope.
I don't get the Rivers hate round the league. Is it his verbal with Cutler that got peoples backs up? From what I read, it was very much 6 of one in that encounter. If it's his passion and celebrating then I guess it's just him. Off the field he is as mild manner a player as I've seen, married his highschool bird, keeps himself to himself and seems very respectful of opposition teams, coaches and players. He is my biased MVP.
Does anyone remember my opinion on Cutler before the season by the way? Cry baby, blames everyone but himself and over-rated? I hate to say I told you so....
