My thoughts exactly

WIGAN RLFC IS MORE THAN A RUGBY CLUB - IT'S A RELIGION
There will always be a Wigan Warriors no matter what the bitter & twisted blues say

Predictions are pointless. Take every game as it comes. My only target if I was part of the set up would be to try and make our home venue a fortress. Do that and the away form will be decent enough to look after itself.

Win the first seven, lose to Leeds.

Dan Sarginson: "This is a fantastic opportunity for me to join the biggest name in the competition" 18/10/2013

Tony Clubb: "This is a new exciting chapter of my life signing for Wigan and I couldn't be happier" 18/10/2013

Romain Navarrete: “I’m very happy to have signed for Wigan Warriors. As soon I knew that Wigan were interested, they were the only team that I wanted to sign for. To me, Wigan is the biggest Club in Rugby League and it will be an honour to pull on the famous Cherry-and-White jersey next year. I look forward to working with Shaun Wane and the players at Wigan.”

5 from 8 I would be happy with as long as the losses were not poor. 6 from 8 and we should be chuffed to bits, some really hard games in there.

4 from 8 and I think we have reason to be disapointed really.

Losses are most likely to come against Warrington, Leeds, Bradford.

If we were to lose anymore than 3 I would hope it would be because the other team has played better, not through poor fitness or errors etc.

My actual opinion is that we can win 6, we won 6 of these games last year so hopefully we can do the same again or maybe even better if we can win at the HJ. I am glad we have some real tests at the start of the season, Hull KR and Warrington should be great games.

However it is tricky as we do not know how other teams will perform, there is always 2-3 teams who over achieve at the start of the season, we couold be one of them or the teams we play could be, who knows.

What we do know is that the last 3 seasons, games early on have let us down, expecially last year so we must give ourselves the best start possible.

Can't wait for the new season!

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

we had similar optimism last year when we looked at the fixtures........we all thought we would win first 3, and we lost em all.

and from a similar looking set of fixtures in terms of difficulty, what we thought might be 8 wins from 10, tunes into 3 w 7 L

lets wait and see and go one game at once.

and im still not over the embarrassment of last seasons opener.

Pulverise Crusaders at home, that's all I'm thinking about.
Treat each match like a Challenge Cup Final.

Once that's done move on.
