Round 3 v Cas at home
Goulding Ainscough O'Carroll Hock J.Tomkins O'Loughlin McIlorum Hansen

Round 5 v Bradford at home
Ainscough S.Tomkins Hock J.Tomkins O'Loughlin McIlorum Hansen O'Carroll

There are probably others but I can't be @rsed checking.

SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS

For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.

For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.

Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row

You don't need to. The point's been proved and the argument won.

Huddersfield Giants v Wigan Warriors - Round 27

Sean O'Loughlin
Mike McIlorum
Paul Prescott
Joel Tomkins
Harrison Hansen
Mark Flanagan
Lee Mossop
Karl Pryce

*FYI - First teamer Sam Tomkins was rested for this game.
**In addition - The loss of Gaz Hock in the latter part of the season also affects the figures.

Jesus H Christ - Pryce and Flanagan??????????????

Whilst Stinky may not have been overly wise to have at a go at Wigan's Academy at the same time I think the original jibe at Warrington's academy is also mis-placed. There may have been a few lean years since the likes of Sculthorpe and Harris came through but recent times have seen the likes of Harrison, Riley and Cooper (and for a year Penny) become regular Super League players.

The current Warrington Academy contains some players that are as good as any I have seen at that level. The club is also being pro-active in its recruitment and going into Rugby Union heartlands to sign young prospects.

For example there was a recent England v Australia u18 rugby union international held in the north-west. Only two super league clubs had represensatives there looking for talent and talking to agents representing the players. Don't knock clubs who are doing everything they can to recruit the country's top talent, you'd be better off going back to the woah-is-me hand-wringing over the salary cap.

Grow up little boy. At least RG knows what he's on about in regards to Academy Rugby. Check back on his thoughts about the Warrington Academy after they beat Wigan at your place last year.

As for "argument won" you made a snide comment about Warrington having "considerably" less home-grown players in the team yet to date all we've had is RG illustrating the same number whilst some numpty is counting Flanaghan and Pryce as Wigan produced players.

If you've finally started producing some youth, then it's about time. You've a long, long way to go before you can match our record.

End of.

To be honest I would be looking at the trophies that the Academy produced youngsters win for the club as a measure of success for a youth set-up. So to be fair I don't think in this respect Wigan have quite as good a record as you allude to.

Not quite an "End of" just like it wasn't quite "argument won" previously.

Stinky Turner wrote:As for Warrington well the last super league game they played they had 8 players produced by their academy. When was the last time Wigan have that many Wigan Academy players in their team for a super league game?

You mean this game?

http://www.superleague.co.uk/report.php?id=3086455

Quote:The Wolves went into the clash with no chance of reaching the play-offs after Catalans Dragons’ surprise win at St Helens on Friday.

Yet none of them played in the Challenge Cup Final :NAUGHTY:

Quote:Warrington were without five of their Carnegie Challenge Cup-winning side with Chris Hicks, Matt King, Paul Johnson and the Anderson brothers, Louis and Vinnie, missing out.

So by fielding a weakened team on your last game of the season (in effect a dead rubber match), this is your argument against Wigan who regularly fielded 7 Homegrown players (excluding Pryce & Flanagan  ) on regular occasions throughout 2009........TUT TUT!!! :LIAR:
