Not RL as such but I just wanted to plug this shop if any of you are thinking of buying new carpets. I have no connections to them, but....

They sponsor the FR Calendar every year but more importantly they deliver a first class service.

My parents who are no longer spring chickens wanted a new a carpet went in and ordered one, but somehow the shop got the wrong number, rather than wait for my parents to connect them they called at the house to see if they wanted the carpet fitted before Xmas and completed the Order.

Thats great service but it didn't end there...

My dad went to pay the bill on 23/12 when the ice was at its height, having got a lift to the shop, he paid the bill and then during a chat told the guys in the shop he was going to get a taxi home, but they refused to let him order one, they drove home home to the door.

They did a great job for a good price and with customer service like that I can't recommend or praise them highly enough.


They are Salford fans as well, what more could you want!!!

Just 1 thing RW. They could change the name of their store to 'Swinton in Salford Discount Carpets.'

That would make them perfect and really annoy those in Swinton

Glad you started this thread RW, it's nice to be able to recognise people who are still willing to go the extra miles. The tale about your parents is a lovely one!

I had considered calling in for a new bedroom carpet but now I wont. Well done red willow.

Ray & Wilf, who are life long Salford fans + Forever Reds members always go the extra "square yard" for all their customers, lost count of the number of good turns they have done for us & F/Reds, always willing to dig deep & help us out.

I have recommended their business to 100's over the years, they did Alan & myself a massive favour nearly 30years ago which has prompted me to give them big wraps to everyone we know.

I'm sure they would do a good job even for a bitter blue
