Poor choice of word on my part. I don’t mean ‘faithful’ as in a design that adheres to what we would refer to as a classic representation of Salford’s kit (i.e. red shirt and white shorts), because it clearly isn’t. What I meant to say is that it is less busy that recent offerings; there aren’t as many awkward swathes of colour placed almost randomly across the shirt (that are evident in 2009’s home jersey and the 2010 away jersey). I don’t believe a team’s jersey should be a fashion statement, however, this design is more pleasing to the eye than any home jersey since 2003.
