Unless a media outlet's quoted source (in this case Hudge) comes out and states otherwise, what reason would there ever to be to assume that there has been a misrepresentation?
Open your eyes. This is Hudge's attempt to create a smokescreen to create a perception that Rovers' situation is no better or worse than anyone else's. Unfortunately, in that attempt, he has undermined the position of all Super League clubs regardless of whether or not they are indeed losing half a million a year. How attractive has he made the sport look to new investors and sponsors?
If I was on the board of any club making a profit or losing less than £500K I'd be fuming and demanding a retraction at least. I don't bet Hudge is the RFL's current favourite person, too.
